God has to help me….

Ugh, here I am starting all over again. I don’t know about you, but I find stagnation frustrating. What is more frustrating is the fact that I am successful at “almost” everything I do. However, this year has presented significant challenges as I have yet to fully follow or commit to something that God has placed on my heart. Have you ever felt God place something on your heart and you just stumble around, but you know the mission? Well, that is where I am.

This year, every challenge I encounter arises from an assignment I’m putting off. For example: There are several methods to earn money. I appreciate the freedom of choice that comes with living in America. With consistent effort and time, you are likely to achieve some degree of success. Through consistent testing of this theory, I’ve discovered that with enough hard work, people will eventually begin to compensate you for your skills, talents, knowledge, and physical abilities. That’s how I understand America operates. When something new appears on your current path, it can feel like all your hard work to reach a certain point suddenly stops. The universe seems to be urging you to take a different path. I’ve experienced changes several times (in variuos areas of life), often overlooking the signals and sticking to my current path. This time, I feel a strong push from God to change my direction.

When do you know it’s time to change course? exploring a new direction? It varies for each individual. Opportunities can sometimes arrive out of the blue. Some prefer a more measured approach and need thorough planning. For some, including me, the challenge lies in facing opposition. I push through challenges, but I pay attention when new opportunities arise. It’s akin to searching for the nearest exit ramp while driving through Death Valley with barely a quarter tank of gas. Shut off the A/C and open the windows to conserve fuel. Wow, that’s frightening! As you hope and pray for a positive outcome, fear and worry creep in. Suddenly, you spot that glorious sign: 1 mile to the gas station. A wave of relief washes over you as your savior appears right on cue. This is how God operates in my life. This time, I feel a strong push to change direction.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes those exit ramps seem to take forever to appear, even though you know deep down that one is on its way. To everyone who needs to hear this, hold on, because your exit ramp is on its way!

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
